Resumen

Se estimó la prevalencia de depresión, ansiedad y TEPT en individuos con trastornos mentales graves (TMG) y trastornos por uso de sustancias (TUS) en el periodo pospandémico y se analizó su relación con el coping (estrategias de afrontamiento). Se realizó un estudio transversal utilizando estadística descriptiva, pruebas no paramétricas y regresión logística con un nivel de significación p < 0,05, IC 95%. La edad media de los participantes era de 48,4 años (DE 12,7) y el 59,7% eran varones. Los individuos con TMG tenían una prevalencia de TEPT (71,6%), ansiedad (68,9%) y depresión (63,5%). En el grupo con TUS, las tasas de prevalencia fueron: ansiedad (80%), depresión (72%) y TEPT (71,6%). Los síntomas fueron significativamente mayores en el grupo TMG. El uso de afrontamiento evitativo se asoció con mayores probabilidades de ansiedad (OR = 4,41; IC 95% = 1,23-18,8; p = 0,031) y TEPT (OR = 3,47; IC 95% = 1,06-12,9; p = 0,048). Las altas tasas de síntomas asociados al coping desadaptativo, especialmente la evitación, sugieren la necesidad de incluir el entrenamiento en habilidades de coping en las intervenciones psicosociales.
