Abstract

Online psychotherapy carried out remotely, intensified during the covid-19 pandemic, has mobilized the production of knowledge about its efficacy, as well as the ethical implications in the therapeutic relationship. This study aims to analyze the ethical implications involved in online psychotherapy mediated by Information and Communication Technologies in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. In order to achieve the objective, an integrative literature review was carried out, which made it possible to identify national and international scientific productions published in different databases. The results demonstrate the importance of establishing a dialogical relationship between clients and psychology professionals about the limits, susceptibilities, advantages and disadvantages of on-line psychotherapy offered remotely. However, it is essential to produce studies of ethical aspects related to the effectiveness and effectiveness of online psychotherapy.
